Group Classes

Group classes are an excellent way to train your dog around other pups and distractions. Our class sizes are limited to allow for personal attention and instruction. We train using only positive reinforcement methods, meaning our instruction is motivational, reward-driven and fear-free. (No e-collars, electronic devices or choke collars.) Our curriculum includes Puppy & Beginner classes, Intermediate, Tricks and Therapy Dog certification training. (Please note that not all classes are offered at the same time.) Everyone registered in one of our classes receives a clicker, weekly handouts and materials for follow-up practice, and online video support.

NOTE: ALL PUPPIES AND DOGS ENROLLING IN CLASSES AT EAST BAY DOG SPOT MUST HAVE PROOF OF UP-TO-DATE VACCINATIONS, INCLUDING DISTEMPER/PARVO, BORDETELLA (KENNEL COUGH) AND RABIES, IF APPLICABLE.

NO DOG CAN BE ADMITTED INTO THE TRAINING CENTER WITHOUT PROOF OF CURRENT VACCINATIONS! - PLEASE CHECK VET RECORDS BEFORE ATTENDING YOUR FIRST CLASS.

Classes meet once per week at the same time starting on the dates shown below.

Payment for group classes will be made with a valid credit card at the time of registration. Payments are non-refundable but may be transferred one time to another group class.

Owners learn hand signals, verbal cues, canine communication techniques, and how to use clickers for excellent results. Also covered are such typical problems as: jumping, nipping, chewing, barking, dogs not listening, hyper-activity issues, and how to teach a reliable “settle” command. At graduation, participants receive a Certificate of Completion for their dog. This class sets the stage for our Intermediate "Beyond the Basics" class which takes training to a whole new level!
